In our quickest trip yet, we flew to Napa Valley on four hour’s notice, arrived at 10pm, drove two hours to Napa Valley, woke up, edited a Portuguese video, attended The Grateful Table for a few glasses of wine in honor of Napa Valley surviving and now thriving through the recent fires, drove two hours back to the San Francisco airport, and then arrived home in LA at 10pm the next night.
Everything from the morning view of the vineyards at the Meritage Resort, where the two front desk associates had seen some of our videos, to the views from even the port-of-potty at The Grateful Table event were breathtaking. And I’m not just saying that cuz I was a few Sauvignon Blancs deep.
Although I do remember referring to the grapes in the vineyard as wine berries.
(which they technically are)
All in all, although it was only a quick 18 trip to the Sonoma and Napa County region both Jo and I have wanted to visit for years, I guess it’s hard to
wine whine when you’re still shutting up and going.
